Waddesdon Manor

I love visiting stately homes as I am into antiques, culture and beauty. Recently I visited Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire, built 1874-1879 by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild to entertain the fashionable world.

It is a National Trust property and out of all that I have visited it is by far the best I have been to. It is just fantastic. The collection of French antique clocks was unbelievable and it's inspired me to look for an antique clock, because I've always wanted one, although not on the scale of the ones at Waddesdon Manor!

The gardens are the best I've ever seen with fabulous statues everywhere. Great for my photography.

I stayed at the Bear in Woodstock and went to the Blenheim Palace Flower Show, the first one they've ever held. The exhibits came from all over the country and they were spectacular. While I was there His Grace the Duke of Marlborough was walking around with Prince Michael of Kent, another great photo opportunity for me.

Well, I'm getting the hang of it now.
What an amazing place...just your kind of thing.
Imagine living in a place like that?
Such beautiful gardens as well.
So many of them perfect for a Christmas card I would have thought....
I especially like the ones of the statues.
Lovely photos
