London Theatre

I have been to the theatre in London recently to see two very different shows.

The first was Breakfast at Tiffany’s with Pixie Lott.  It is the story of a young woman called Holly in New York and the people she meets who all fall in love with her but they cannot get her to stay and don’t know what happens to her in her life.

Audrey Hepburn played Holly in the original movie in 1961 which was brilliant and her performance made her an icon.  Pixie Lott in the stage version in London to me was a bit flat.

The other completely different show was Matilda.  This was brilliant and thoroughly to be recommended to everyone.  It is of course based on Roald Dahls’ book of the same name, about a naughty little girl who happens to be a genius.  I would highly recommend this as a family show for Christmas.
